I just introduced "Elf on the Shelf" in my classroom today and the students loved it! It's such a fun way to get into the holiday spirit and is a great tool to use to enforce good behavior.
First, I read the story to the class.
Next, we voted on a name for our classroom elf. After many choices, the class voted on Bella!
Once our elf had a name, we decorated the door. After all, she needs a way to get in and out of the classroom!
Lastly, we did a craft activity. Students created their own elf and wrote about it!
I printed the craft activity from Teachers Pay Teachers using a variety of worksheets:
Both activities are free to download!
Here are some mischievous activities that Bella participated in.
Bella read a lovely story to her friends.
Just hanging around the classroom.
Bella built a Jenga fort!
She was so tired and decided a tissue box was the best spot for her nap.
Just catching up on some Christmas shopping.
Snow angel fun!
An intense game of tic-tac-toe going on in class.
